Frequently asked questions

Does the free scan require an account?
No. The free scan takes a name, email, company, role, provider, use case, and authorization confirmation. We do not ask for API keys through the web form — credential entry happens inside the RAGSec application after you receive your access link.
Does RAGSec store my vector database credentials?
Credentials are used to connect your provider and perform the scan. We do not log credentials in plaintext. Details on credential handling and data retention are in the Terms of Service.
Can RAGSec scan production environments?
The Scanner (discovery and posture assessment) is read-only and can run against production environments. The Proof Platform — which runs active cross-tenant tests — requires a staging or explicitly authorized environment by default. Production active testing requires written approval from the asset owner.
What happens after early access?
Early access teams receive pricing commitments before general availability. We will provide advance notice of any pricing changes and a transition period.
